Comics are my favourite creative medium. The visual translation of text into images introduces a whole new layer of depth that written words simply can't convey. In this illustration course from 2018 we conceptualised a small comic, drawing a few pages of a coherent story. My story is focused on Masha, a Messenger working on the Seagull, an international trading ship. Once a month, there's a big market in the cargo halls where species from around the universe trade their goods. And, as a foodie, she's usually one of the first people to show up.
Sadly, I wasn't able to finish the comic (I planned about 60 pages), but it's a project that accompanies me and that I definitely want to finish at some point. Inked on A3 paper, then scanned and optimized.
